MPA has selected Rhys Lanskey and Tim Oliver to compete in the African/Oceania Continental Championships in Cairo on 29 August – 2 September, alongside Tully Watt, Genevieve Janse van Rensburg and Zara Temesi. All five athletes are vying for a place at the Paris Olympic Games in 2024.
Rhys and Tim recently returned from Switzerland, where they contested the Swiss Open in Bern, placing 5th and 12th respectively.
Rhys, together with a group of younger athletes selected to compete in the World Laser Run Championships in Bath, England in August, is training in Canberra this week, benefitting from the coaching and sports science facilities available at the Australian Institute of Sport.
