Following an EOI process triggered by Kitty Chiller’s resignation as MPA president, the MPA Executive is pleased to announce that Maki Takken has been appointed as President.

Maki had recently joined the executive team as a non-elected member, and brings a wealth of corporate and governance experience to the table, as well as insights gained through her years involved in rowing and modern pentathlon as an athlete, coach and administrator.

“I am looking forward to leading the renewed executive team through to Paris 2024, and to working with our MPA members and stakeholders to ensure a bright future for the sport and our wonderfully talented athletes,” Maki said.  “Its wonderful to see more people participating, and to hear about the incredible results being achieved on the international stage.  We have some big goals and plenty of challenges ahead, but we also have passionate people, a robust strategic plan and a diversity of skills to draw on.”
